My honest answer: It’s up to you!
The length of a logo design project depends on how quickly you can get to it! To get started, all I need from you is a completed logo survey that allows me to collect info about your business. In my survey, I’ll ask you about your goals, your services, your comeptitors, and general questions about your aesthetic. After your logo questionnaire is thoroughly filled out, I’ll need one week to work up your concept(s).
Choose a Logo Package
First of all, we need to determine the extent of your needs. I have many different package choices available, from the quick and dirty (but professionally designed) starter logo to get you going, to full branded packages containing letterheads, social media templates, business cards, and the whole spectrum of marketing collateral. I’m always happy to help talk you through these packages to determine which is the best fit for you.
Logo Revision Rounds
Once you receive your concept(s), please thoroughly give feedback! If you have a team that you’re working with, it is very important to collect feeback and submit it together. Please make sure that you’re on the same page. The more quickly you can get back with me with proper feedback, the more quickly you’ll receive the revised round.
Here is an example of unhelpful feedback: “We do not like this Concept. It does not pop.”
Here is an example of helpful feedback: “We think we would like to see the icon in this concept in a warmer color palette to suggest our proximity to the warm beaches!”
Helpful feedback does not hurt my feelings. It in fact, does the opposite! Constructive criticism actually makes the process easier and faster for both me, the designer, and you, the client! I have a better understanding of what you want to see in the next round, and you will get your concepts faster with less rounds of revisions required!
Logo Approval and File Packaging
Once we land on a logo you LOVE, it’s time to package your files! My logo packages all include a logo guide page, so this is also when I’ll put that together for you. It typically takes me about one day to package your approved logo files and put together your guide. Then I will send you a dropbox link with all of your file types – and that’s it! Easy as Pie.
So, yes, it’s true: The process can take as little as one week to complete! I do not work with long waiting lists, as I like to be available to my clients to help immediately. This both allows my clients to be agile when it comes to their marketing needs and for me to be available as your trusted design partner.
