Case Study for Website Redesign Services

Redesigning a dated website with a user-friendly, easy-to-update interface

Be Bottle needed a website redesign that was up-to-date and more cohesive with their visual brand. The company was working to attract a new audience of young, active, and eco-conscious buyers.

Creative Process

Before creating the full website, I worked closely with the company’s director of marketing to outline and define their visual brand, including the brand color system, textures, logo use cases and photography style. I created and developed a full website with a home page and interior pages in WordPress to make it simple for both the website visitor and the website administrator to do what they need to do.

Visual Brand Update

Be Bottle came to me with a logo, brand colors, and typefaces, but were struggling to tie them together. I designed some additional elements such as textures, patterns, and underline treatments to go along with what they had already established. I then created a brand manual for them that laid out their branding elements in a way that is easy for their employees, vendors, and contractors to use when working with Be Bottle’s brand.

Website Design

After working through some holes in their visual branding we were ready to redesign their website. I used the content provided by Be Bottle to update to a fresh, more modern looking website. The website utilized their new brand elements, lots of white space, clear concise calls to action, and the clients’ beautiful lifestyle and product photography. The updated website provides a much better user experience for Be Bottle’s customers. Aside from being better for the customers, the new website is easy for Be Bottle’s team to update.

Adding e-commerce section to the website

Once the website was launched, Be Bottle came back to me for help with adding an e-commerce section to the site. They had hired a developer to create custom code, but they were unable to update the shop portion of their website easily and needed a new solution. Alongside my developer, I created a WooCommerce shop on the site that I had previously designed. The new store was easier for the user to navigate and easier for the Be Bottle team to update on their own.
